Walmart says it's making some changes to its store operation hours to benefit its older customers.

Walmart's executive vice president and chief operating officer says from March 24 to April 28, stores will host an hour-long senior shopping event every Tuesday.

It's for people ages 60 and older and the Walmart executive says it will take place one hour before the stores open at 7 a.m.

Pharmacies and vision centers will also be open at that time.

Walmart stores across the nation are also closing at 8:30 p.m. to allow employees to restock and sanitize stores.

There will be limits on certain items, including paper products, milk, eggs, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer and water.
