Chrissy Teigen Looks So Chic in Her New Chestnut Bob

Posted by Larita Shotwell on Monday, August 19, 2024

Chrissy Teigen has officially joined the celebrity bob club.

The model and cookbook author today debuted her brand-new 'do: a reddish-brown long bob. The hue is a kind of ambery, orangey, chestnutty balayage, which serves as the perfect hair color transition from winter to spring.

Teigen's sleek bob with the ends styled inward is not quite the French bob that's been shamelessly trending on all our social media feeds as of late; it's more of a fresh take. Other stars who've joined the bob club include trendsetter Hailey Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian—who went full bleach blonde for hers.

"Breaking news: woman gets new hair color !!!!!!!!! love you @colorbymattrez! @rikkigash @krisstudden đŸ„°," Teigen captioned a short clip of her modeling her new hair, wearing a colorful robe and rosy makeup, on Instagram. (Insert TikTok sound: "To the salon!")

"We absolutely love this chic, fresh, and clean trend for the spring, and we're starting to see different versions from Chrissy to Hailey Bieber among the stars. We call it the 'wavy razor' bob cut," Allison Gandolfo, designer colorist at New York City's Zahir Ziani Salon, tells BAZAAR.com. "The color helps to accentuate the texture and shape of the cut, which should be balayaged with rich ambers and caramels for best results. For styling, use a 1 & 1/4-inch curling iron at the roots and mid shaft to give it a bend and leave the ends straight."

Teigen's hair transformation comes after she spent Tuesday night celebrating husband John Legend. The two attended the launch party for the singer's skincare line, Loved01, at Skybar inside the swanky Mondrian Hotel in West Hollywood. For the occasion, the pair coordinated in elegant all-white ensembles.

Teigen looked radiant in a breezy, one-shoulder dress with fur trim from the sleeve to the skirt. She added some sparkle with a pair of silver heeled sandals, a silver clutch, giant silver hoop earrings, and a matching chunky ring. As for glam, she pulled her honey-brunette hair back into a wavy updo and opted for glowing makeup and a rosy nude lip.
