Instead of “He went to Jared!” did Cole DeBoer go to MTV while preparing to propose to Chelsea Houska? Not according to the Teen Mom 2 star’s wise and loving father, Randy Houska.
On Sunday, Nov. 22, he tweeted, “Finally got to see @ChelseaHouska in person yesterday. Cole did pretty good on #THEROCK. Welcome to the crazy #houskaworld Cole.”
One jaded commenter replied, “You mean MTV did good?!?” which prompted Randy to respond, “No, I mean Cole did good #readwhatIwrote.”
The live-in loves announced their engagement via Instagram on Nov. 18, when Chelsea flashed her giant diamond sparkler for the camera.
“He's stuck now! @coledeboer,” she captioned a selfie with her man. “I honestly cannot believe how lucky I am. Finally found my Prince Charming and I get to be with him for the rest of my life!”
At the time, Randy praised his future son-in-law, tweeting, “Prince Charming > toad Ready to add another #soninlaw Lesson to you all: #DoNotSettleForLessThanYouDeserve Congrats @ChelseaHouska & Cole.”
It also looks like the MTV cameras were either rolling or nearby when the proposal happened, so Chelsea fans will get a glimpse of the romantic moment — and a reaction from Aubree, her 6-year-old daughter with ex Adam Lind.
